Frequently Asked Questions
*Q: How many cases will fit in the Regular and Grande models?
A: The Regular model will fit a mix of approximately 5-7 acoustic and electric cases. The Grande model will fit a mix of approximately 7-9 acoustic and electric cases. But if you have only acoustic cases, or you have some gig bags with side pockets that jut out, the capacity may be lessened. To maximize the storage capacity, you could remove the dowels/separators to gain approximately 7 inches additional storage space. The best way to determine how many cases will fit is to measure all your cases side-by-side. The Regular model will fit a total width of 36″. The Grande will fit a total width of 47.5″.Q: Can the rack hold cases for Gibson Flying V, Firebirds, Explorers and other odd-shaped instruments?
A: Cases for Gibson Firebirds and Explorers should fit without a problem. Flying Vs should fit if one of the sides and the bottom of the case form a right angle. While not designed for it, Flying V cases with a wedge-shaped bottom may be able to be positioned to sit in the rack but it is not guaranteed.Q: Can the rack be placed directly against the wall?
A: Because the guitars/cases need to lean, you will need a few inches of clearance. Anywhere from about 2 to 7″ depending on case size.Q: Will it hold cases for ukuleles or mandolins?
A: No it will not. If you want to hold mandolin and ukulele cases in addition to guitar cases, please see our Studio Deluxe racks.Q: What are the Standard model’s side pieces made from?
A: The curved sides are made of simulated cherry wood grain, scuff-resistant, high pressure laminate over an MDF wood core. The 3 support rails are solid hardwood. If you’d like shop for other wood options, checkout our entire selection of wood guitar stands.Q: How high will my guitars sit from the floor?
A: Guitars and cases, when on the racks, sit approximately 3 inches above the floor.Q: Can I order a custom size version?
A: Sorry but we are not accepting customization requests at this time. The Session-Pro™ Double-Stack Mobile Guitar & Case Shelf Racks

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many inches of space are needed between the rack and the wall?
A: You can expect to keep the rack anywhere from 6-12″ from the wall in order to accommodate the lean of the cases. This will depend upon the size and shape of the case as well as how you position the case in the rack. If you purchase the guitar-only version, expect to keep it 4-8″ from the wall, depending on the type of guitar.Q: What are the primary differences between this product and the Band Room Double-Stack™ Guitar Shelves?
A: The Session-Pro Double-Stack is ideal for studios and collectors in need of large-capacity storage of high-end guitars and heavier solid body guitars and/or cases and features extra support brackets and nitrocellulose-safe neck holders. On the other hand, the Band Room Double-Stack is ideal for schools, music programs and guitar players in need of large-capacity storage of lighter-weight guitars and/or cases.Q: What shape of instruments will fit the guitar-rails of the Session-Pro Double-Stack?
A: Most electrics and dreadnought acoustics with curved bottoms will fit. But instruments with extreme angular bottoms, such as Flying Vs or Firebirds or Explorers, will not fit.Q: What size of instruments will fit the guitar-rails of the Session-Pro Double-Stack?
A: If you have an oversize or non-conventional shaped instrument (like jumbo guitars, Dobros and other resonators, or Weissenborn lap slide guitars), it’s best you measure your guitar and use the following dimensions as your guide:
a. max depth of instrument neck from fret-side to back-side: 1.25″
b. max length of instrument body: 42″
c. max thickness of instrument body: 5″Q: Does the listed height of 71 ½” H inches include the wheels?
A: Yes it does.Q: If CASES are placed on the top shelf, what are the ceiling height requirements?
A: The following are approximations that apply to the majority of cases in these categories:
Dreadnought cases: at least 78-80 inches (depending on case size)
Rectangular cases: at least 86-88 inches (depending on case size)
Dreadnought bass cases: at least 86-88 inches (depending on case size)
Rectangular bass cases: at least 96-98 inches (depending on case size)
In addition, you can opt to remove the wheel kit and gain about 6″ of additional head room.Q: If GUITARS are placed on the top shelf, what are the ceiling height requirements?
A: The following are approximations that apply to the majority of guitars in these categories:
Regular Guitars: 76-78 inches (depending on instrument size)
Regular Basses: 84-86 inches (depending on instrument size)
Dreadnoughts: Coming soon…
In addition, you can opt to remove the wheel kit and gain about 6″ of additional head room.Q: What size doorway will this product fit through?
A: The rack will fit through doorways that are as large as 80 inches high and 33 inches wide. If you are trying to move it loaded with guitars and/or cases, you will need to add an additional 6-8″ of width, mostly for cases. But this is only an estimate and can vary with certain guitars and cases. The height should not be a problem unless you have bass cases which may require more headroom. Rectangular cases on the top shelf might require 86-88″ of height. Unless you are constantly moving the rack between rooms, it’s probably best to remove the instruments before moving it through a standard doorway.Q: How easy is the rack to assemble?
A: We provide clearly illustrated instructions and all necessary hardware. Still, this product is semi-complex and will be much easier to assemble if you have help from a second person.Q: Can the rack hold CASES for Gibson Flying V, Firebirds, Explorers and other odd-shaped cases?
Cases for Gibson Firebirds and Explorers should fit without a problem. Flying Vs should fit if one of the sides and the bottom of the case form a right angle. While not designed for it, Flying V cases with a wedge-shaped bottom may be able to be positioned to sit in the rack but it is not guaranteed.Q: How many cases will fit on the case rails?
A: The case rails are designed to hold 10 guitars in their cases on each level. You may be able to fit additional cases on each level of case rails; however, if they are solid body or heavy electrics, we don’t recommend more than 10 per level as the rails may begin to bow.Q: Can this product be assembled and used without the wheels?
A: Yes. We provide the wheels just in case the rack needs to be moved around a room but it can certainly be used without the wheels.Q: Can the Session-Pro Double-Stack hold rectangular cases?
A: Yes, the case-only and hybrid versions can both hold rectangular cases.Q: How does the rack ensure that any rectangular cases are held upright and don’t tip over?
A: There is a specially designed pick-shaped “bookend” that holds the guitar cases upright and together.Q: Will the shelves hold bass cases?
A: Rectangular bass cases can be used on the top shelf but they will not fit on the bottom shelf.Q: What materials are this product made from?
A: Black HPL sides with chrome-color trim and birch rails.Q: In the hybrid rack (SPDGC), can the guitar cross-rails be placed on either level?
A: Yes, in the assembly instructions it will show that you can set it up on either the top or bottom – whichever custom setup you prefer.Q: In either the hybrid or guitar only version, how do you place a guitar in the lower rack, or remove a guitar from the lower rack when the rack is fully loaded?
A: To place guitars in the bottom level you simply place the neck in the slot and the body will follow in the cradle. The opposite for removing it. Lift the body off the cradle so the neck clears and remove it.The Studio™ Deluxe Guitar Case Storage Rack

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What materials do you use where the guitars touch the rack, and is it safe?
A: We use wool felt at all guitar contact points to keep your guitar finishes safe, especially if you have valuable guitars with a nitro-cellulose finish.Q: What size and shape of guitars will fit the Carousel?
A: Most electrics and dreadnought acoustics with curved bottoms should fit without a problem will fit. But instruments with extreme angular bottoms, such as Flying Vs or Firebirds or Explorers, will not fit.And if you have an oversize or non-conventional shaped instrument (like jumbo guitars, Dobros and other resonators, or Weissenborn lap slide guitars), it’s best you measure your guitar and use the following dimensions as your guide:
a. max depth of instrument neck from fret-side to back-side: 1.5″
b. max length of instrument body: 26″
c. max thickness of instrument body: 6.5″Q: What is the total height of the two-tiered Carousel, when loaded with guitars and/or basses?
A: That depends on the sizes of your instruments. Smaller guitars, such as 39-inch Les Pauls, Stratocasters or Telecasters would bring the total height to about 90 inches. When loaded with bigger guitars like a Gretsch or an electric bass, the total height could be about 96 inches.Q: What is suggested ceiling height for use of the two-tiered Carousel?
A: Nothing shorter than an 8 foot ceiling.Q: Will the Carousel still rotate if it is placed on carpeting?
A: Yes, the Carousel will spin just as easily on carpeting as it would a hard surface. The rotating guitar stand actually sits on a separate base and spins on that base, not directly on the carpet.Q: Will bass guitars fit in the lower tier of the combined Carousel?
A: No, you will need to keep your bass guitars in the top tier.Q: Do you offer a version of the Carousel where all the guitars face the same direction?
A: Sorry, no. If all the guitars faced the same direction, the diameter of the round bass would have to be at least 4 inches bigger, to accommodate 6 guitars and to keep them from touching each other. The current design with a compact 36-inch base utilizes the empty spaces created by the wedges that the round base is divided into. The ShowCase™ Deluxe Guitar Display Case

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know if my guitar will fit in the ShowCase?
A: The ShowCase is designed to be both an acoustic and electric guitar display case but regardless of the type of instrument, you’ll first need to measure your guitar from the point where the head stock widens over the neck to the bottom. That measurement should be less than 37 inches for the length to fit in the cabinet. The width of your guitar at its widest should be less than 21 inches. If your guitar body depth is 6 inches or less, you should be fine. Most bass guitars will not fit.Q: How does the humidity control system work?
A: We include Boveda brand 2-way humidity control packets which help protect your wooden instrument against warping, cracks and other damage caused by a lack of humidification or too much humidification. The Boveda packet placed in a recessed tray helps to maintain a 40%-50% relative humidity level inside the display case. If you live in an extremely dry or humid climate you might want to purchase the larger 320 gm Boveda packs which can be placed in the bottom of the cabinet.Q: How long does the Boveda packet last before it needs replacing?
A: When the Boveda packet becomes dry and crispy, then it’s time to replace it with a new one. Boveda says you can expect 2–6 months of usage life depending on the container and external environment.Q: How does it mount to the wall?
A: The cabinet is supported by a cleat that you attach to the wall. You will have to drill 4 holes in the wall. Holes in the cleat are 16 inches apart, so if you have a standard wall and can locate the wall studs, you should be able attach the cleat using 4 screws (included), screwed into 2 studs. If you cannot locate the studs, we also provide 4 toggle bolts. (If your studs are not 16 inches apart, we recommend that you attach with 2 screws into a stud and use toggle bolts for the other 2 holes.) Detailed instructions will be included.Q: If I use batteries, how many do I need? How long will they last?
A: The battery pack uses 8 AA batteries. In testing, we have kept the lights on continuously for over 48 hours before they started to fade a little bit.Q: What will I need to assemble the Showcase?
A: You will need a drill, a level, and a screwdriver. All hardware (screws, etc.) are included. Detailed, illustrated instructions are also included.Q: Is the glass UV protected?
A: No the glass does not contain UV protection.Q: Why is it important that the gasket, which seals the door shut, be made of a nitrocellulose-safe material?
A: The gasket is made of an inert foam material. Other kinds of gaskets, mostly containing rubber, can break down over time and produce corrosive gasses in an enclosed, sealed environment, which can be harmful to vintage guitars that have a nitrocellulose finish. The CrossCurve™ Deluxe Single Wood Guitar Stand

A: Most electrics and dreadnought acoustics with curved bottoms will fit. But instruments with extreme angular bottoms, such as Flying Vs or Firebirds or Explorers, will not fit. And if you have an oversize or non-conventional shaped instrument (like jumbo guitars, Dobros and other resonators, or Weissenborn lap slide guitars), it’s best you measure your guitar and use the following dimensions as your guide:
a. max depth of instrument neck from fret-side to back-side: 1.25″
b. max length of instrument body: 26″
c. max thickness of instrument body: 5″Q: Does the 43″ height include the height of the wheels?
A: Yes it does include the wheel height too.
This is an outstanding solution to storing your guitar cases. I really like the flexibility of the pegs to determine how best to organize your cases, especially since they come in widths and shapes. It’s very well designed.
